Let shoppers build the box, at a price you set

Tab Upsell & Bundles lets shoppers build their own bundle on your product page: they pick from groups of products you choose, and the bundle price applies once every required group is filled. Price it as a fixed total, a fixed amount off or a percentage off, with an exact amount per currency for fixed prices. Optional extras can sit beside the box at full price.

Plan: Free — 50 Online Store orders every 30 days; Starter — $49/month for unlimited orders. The product page and custom spot blocks work on every plan.

Examples

Offers you can set up today.

Any three for one price

One group of twelve teas, choose 3, fixed bundle total $36

The shopper fills three slots from the twelve teas. The box costs $36 once all three are chosen.

One from each shelf

Cleanser group (choose 1) + serum group (choose 1) + moisturizer group (choose 1), 15% off

Each group needs one pick. The 15% comes off the regular price of the exact variants chosen.

Mixed colors, no repeats

Socks group, choose 4, one unit per variant

The shopper can mix colors and sizes but can’t pick the same variant twice.

A gift box on the side

Required chocolate group + optional gift box at full price

The chocolates get the bundle price. The gift box is added only if the shopper picks it, at its regular price.

Setup

How to set it up.

  1. Create a Bundle campaign. Go to Campaigns → Create campaign and choose Bundle as the campaign type, then click Add offer.
  2. Choose configured quantities. Under Bundle structure, set Bundle mode to Configured quantities and choice pools.
  3. Set up the groups. In Selection rules, choose Flexible groups and optional items. Add products to each group and set its minimum and maximum quantity. Set the minimum to 0 for an optional group, and choose Optional extra at full price for an add-on that isn’t discounted.
  4. Set the price. Under Bundle pricing, choose Fixed bundle total, Fixed amount off or Percentage off. For fixed amounts, add Exact local amounts for each other Market currency where the bundle should show.
  5. Save and place the block. Save and wait for Live. Then add the Bundle – product page block to your product template, or the Bundle – custom spot block with the offer’s spot key to any section that supports app blocks.

Good to know

Where it stops.

  • A configured bundle holds up to nine components, and each group can draw from up to 100 products.
  • Shoppers build the box in its own block on the product page or a custom spot. It isn’t completed from the cart, and only a complete box gets the bundle price.
  • An optional extra at full price must sit beside at least one required, discounted group.
  • Fixed-price boxes show in another Market currency only after you add an exact amount for it. Percentage off works in every currency.
  • It runs on Shopify Online Store themes. Headless and Hydrogen storefronts are not supported.

FAQ

Common questions.

Can shoppers pick the same product more than once?

You decide for each group: allow repeated products and variants, allow one unit per product, or allow one unit per variant so shoppers can mix colors without repeating one. You can also cap how many units of a single product a group takes.

Does it create a new bundle product or SKU?

No. Each pick is added as its own cart line, so Shopify keeps tracking stock on the real products. The saving is applied as a Shopify discount with your cart discount label.

Can the price change with how many items are in the box?

Yes. A configured bundle can use quantity tiers instead of one price, up to nine tiers, each with its own price type and exact local amounts.

Can I limit which variants are allowed?

Yes. Each product in a group can allow all of its variants or only the ones you choose, up to 100.

Which plan do I need?

Every plan, including Free within its 50 orders every 30 days. Placing bundles by explicit offer ID through the API and JavaScript SDK needs Optimize ($99/month).
