The set price, however the pieces reach the cart

Tab Upsell & Bundles applies a fixed set’s price whenever the cart holds every piece of the set, however the shopper added them — from each product page, a collection or the bundle card. On the cart page and in compatible cart drawers, the bundle block names the piece that is still missing and adds only that. Each piece stays its own cart line, so Shopify keeps tracking stock on the real products.

Plan: Free — 50 Online Store orders every 30 days; Starter — $49/month for unlimited orders. Automatic bundle pricing and the cart blocks work on every plan.

Examples

Offers you can set up today.

Bought piece by piece

Necklace + earrings + bracelet, fixed bundle total $240

The shopper adds the necklace from its page and the earrings and bracelet later from a collection. The cart shows $240 for the three, with your discount label.

One piece missing

Shirt + trousers + belt, fixed bundle total $150

With the shirt and trousers in the cart, the cart block names the belt. The shopper picks a size and adds only the belt.

Two sets in one cart

Maximum sets per purchase: 2

A cart with two of every piece gets the set price twice. A third unit of one piece stays at its regular price.

A product in two bundles

Camera + lens at $900, and camera + lens + bag at $960, both fixed totals

When the cart holds all three, the app prices it whichever way costs the shopper less.

Setup

How to set it up.

  1. Create a fixed product set. In a Bundle campaign, click Add offer, keep Fixed product set, and pick two to four products with the variants you allow.
  2. Set the price. Under Bundle pricing, choose Fixed bundle total, Fixed amount off or Percentage off, add exact local amounts for other Market currencies, and set Maximum sets per purchase.
  3. Save and check automatic pricing. Save and wait for Live. For fixed totals, the Automatic bundle pricing card beside the campaign shows the status across all live sets.
  4. Turn on the cart blocks. In the theme editor, add the Bundle – cart page block to the cart template and enable the Bundle – cart drawer app embed.
  5. Test the long way round. Add each piece from its own product page, then check the cart and checkout show the bundle total.

Good to know

Where it stops.

  • Pricing for pieces added separately covers fixed product sets, whatever their price type. Build-a-box bundles and quantity breaks are priced only when the shopper buys them through their own block.
  • When live sets overlap, the lowest-price combination is worked out across fixed totals; amount-off and percentage-off sets are matched within their own campaign.
  • If two live fixed-total sets share a product but allow different variants of it, the app asks you to align them before it publishes.
  • Lines bought on a subscription don’t count toward a set.
  • The cart drawer embed works with drawers that use a standard cart drawer element, or one you point it to with a CSS selector. It does not replace your cart drawer.
  • It runs on Shopify Online Store themes, not headless or Hydrogen storefronts.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do shoppers have to use the bundle card?

No. Once the cart holds every piece of a fixed set, the bundle price applies, whichever page each piece came from. Build-a-box bundles and quantity breaks are the exception: they are priced only when bought through their own block.

What if a piece is removed?

The set is no longer complete, so the bundle price stops applying and the remaining items go back to their regular prices.

Is this the same as a Shopify bundle product?

No. Shopify’s own Bundles app makes a new parent product, and its discount applies only when that bundle product is bought. Here there is no extra product: your products stay as they are, and the set is priced when they are in the cart together.

Which themes has the cart completion been checked on?

The cart page block and drawer embed have been checked on Dawn, Horizon and Palo Alto. Test it on your own theme before launch.
